Accommodation drop off day

Hi, My son is starting University this September (Nottingham). And we still haven't booked a date to drop him off at the accommodation. How can we do it and I am worried now? Please help!

The following assumes that your son is expecting to stay in University-maintained halls of some kind

I (starting at Nottingham in September) got an email this afternoon to do an accommodation induction, which included:

booking a drop-off slot

Confirming insurance

Halls fire safety briefing

miscellaneous other information

being given a document to download which can be used to obtain one's room key on reporting, on arrival, to the Welcome point for one's hall

I suggest your son looks for this email (came to my personal email address, i.e. not my new University one), sitting tight for a day or so if he can't find it, and then - if it still hasn't come, uses this page to contact accommodation services if it still hasn't come through.

Have you had any joy with working out how to pay this £250 advance on the rent? It's not appearing on NottinghamHub for us, and with eight days left we're getting slightly nervous!

God bless,

Pip

Hello @Pip KW!

Have this issue been resolved? In the event that the there have not been any updates, I believe that it would be a good idea to contact the university as soon as possible by filling in the following form: Enquiry Form

I hope it helps,
Abián.

I paid my £250 deposit through NottinghamHub as you can make a payment without one being listed, so long as you write down that it’s a deposit.
If you click on here and go down to step 9, it explains it all there

Hi there! If your son is moving into University of Nottingham, then he should have access to the accommodation portal. If you log onto the accommodation portal, there should be an option to complete online induction. While completing it, you will be able to book a move in date for either the 20th or the 21st of September.
