Hi @are32890,

How are you? It's great to see that you are looking to study medicine at university and are exploring your options. I can see that you are interested in studying here at UCLan which is great! Entry requirements for our MBBS Medicine & Surgery programme includes:

AAA at A2 with at least two science subjects including Chemistry. We do have a limited number of places available for UK students on this course.

GCSE Maths and English at Grade B/5

However, we do offer a two year BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences programme which is a gateway route designed to give you the best chance of entry to graduate entry medicine, dentistry or other health related courses. The programme asks for:

UCAS: BBB at A2 including 2 in science subjects. Accepted science subjects are Biology, Chemistry or Physics

GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 with Maths and English at Grade B/5

You can learn more about our BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences programme here.

We actually have some Open Days coming up this Autumn, if you can I'd recommend coming along to get more information about our course by speaking with current students and lecturers whilst exploring our facilities. You can learn more about these Open Days here.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to let me know and I'd be happy to help 😊

Best wishes,
Sarah
