Chemistry Text Books

Hi guys, I am an international student from Barbados coming to UoM to study Chemistry.
Would anyone be willing to give me some of their used text books? I know I might be able to find them online but I much prefer physical texts. If you or someone you know would be willing to donate or sell at a reduced price please contact me.
Thank you
I would suggest waiting until you get to the uni and seeing if you even need to get your own textbooks. Usually in the UK, the lecture notes are the main source of information with students then doing further reading independently using whichever textbooks they feel are most appropriate from the library (although usually they will be given some suggested options). It's rare to require your own personal copy of any given textbook and usually the uni libraries will hold multiple copies of "key" textbooks.

Also usually in freshers week you can purchase used textbooks from upper-year students if you wish. But again I'd just suggest not doing so at all, because you don't normally need to

Thank you so much! I figured the library and course notes would be my friend but I'm budgeting right now so I just had to check.

Yeah in the UK it's really uncommon to have to buy textbooks. A lot of people do so but then find they use them a couple times and are stuck with expensive and heavy books they end up selling cheap as used later!

What I would recommend is not buying any initially and then just seeing what texts you do use regularly from the library and if any of them seem to have any potential longer term use as e.g. references for yourself, that would justify buying your own copy (used or otherwise!).
