Can I do cardiac physiology if I do undergrad in medical physiology?
If not what other undergrad degrees could I do, that still have job prospects if I change my mind?

There are specific healthcare science courses for cardiac physiology, such as:

https://courses.leeds.ac.uk/i104/healthcare-science-cardiac-physiology-bsc
https://www.southampton.ac.uk/courses/cardiac-physiology-healthcare-science-degree-bsc

By change your mind, do you mean you are not sure if you want to pursue cardiac physiology as a career?

The course pages on uni websites usually say what career opportunities are available. If you go to a uni open day, this is something you can ask the course leaders.

Pretty sure they’re all the same thing if you’re talking about the degrees!!

Southampton mentioned in their open days that they managed to get the course name changed to Cardiac Physiology specifically, which other universities haven’t yet, hence why some still call it Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology)

Do the Southampton university accept medicine related work experience mentioned in the personal statement but it is not Cardiac related? Should I specially mention "Cardiac Physiology" in my PS ? I am confused. I ask this because there are only 2 Universities I am applying Cardiac Physiology for but the other 3 are closely related to other allied medical fields. I thought as far as I have some work experience in a hospital, it should be enough. Any help and guidance in this matter is greatly appreciated?

It is unlikely that a personal statement that covers more than one course will be successful. Which course is your priority - cardiac phys or the other courses? If it is cardiac phys, focus your personal statement on it and call your other choices and ask if they will accept a separate statement for their course.

Hi, I have similar issue in regards to the personal statement 😣 I want to apply for cardiac physiology, medical physiology and diagnostic radiography. I want to make my personal statement General by focusing on my experience and skills I developed and my passion for health and sciences. Honestly I'm not sure if it's good enough but i am hoping they focus more on the interviewing as I am able to express my passion for each of of courses. But definitely I will follow your advice of calling the universities to know if they accept separate personal statement.

I know some of the open days I went to were saying about making sure you specialise it to cardiac physiology if you want a better shot at getting an interview
I’m assuming mostly because the courses don’t have many places and to prevent medicine students from just putting it as their 5th choice!!

Heyy,
So I applied to Swansea, Leeds and St George’s as well and haven’t heard anything either. I am kinda stressed about it too.

Heyy,

Has anyone heard anything from any unis, specifically: Leeds, Swansea and St George’s London. As all I have gotten so far was the emails that they received my application and will look into it. As it’s been about 2 months since I have applied, I am a little worried.

Appreciate any responses, thanks

If you have not been rejected, you are still in contention for an offer.
And Unis have until May to make all their offers, so there is still lots of time.

Hey, I have the exact same situation as you. Maybe those uni's haven't gotten to read all the applications. I'm really worries about this as well.

Heya
I've personally had a response from St Georges, and had my interview a couple weeks ago, but I also sent in my application crazy early (like October time)
Only just got a response from Swansea today but nothing from Leeds yet!!
