Welcome to the forum. You have until the equal consideration deadline at the end of January to submit your UCAS application.

Hi 👋
I'm 36, 4 children and currently a primary school teacher. I will be applying to start a midwifery degree in September 2025. I'm hoping to get into Bournemouth uni as that is where I live.

Yes but Plymouth is known for making offers within a few days in their first interview block in December 😬

That doesn't mean they run out of offers for those who apply later in the application cycle.

How have people already been accepted to university for next September (2025)? How does equal consideration work then?😦

Unis make far more offers than they have spaces on the course. This is because applicants have up to five choices so unis know that all those students they make offers to won't be firming them and then some of the firm/insurance applicants won't meet the conditions of their offers. From years of experience, a uni will know how many offers they need to make to fill a course. And unis can operate differently when it comes to making offers. Some start as soon as they start receiving applications, other unis will wait until the equal consideration deadline before making any offers. You have the same chance of receiving an offer applying in January as someone applying in October.

honestly I was so stressed I put my application in when I realised people were already being interviewed. But my college tutor also works as a uni lecturer and she confirmed what ‘normaw’ wrote above, even if you apply in Jan you have the same chances!
