chemistry edexcel highest in middle east or UAE

i got 170/180 my teachers saw my marks and are suggesting me to recheck saying that i will get 2-3 marks minimum but lets say i spend the money and get 2-3 more marks is that enough for any title or should i just save my money

There’s honestly no point.
You have already convincingly got yourself a grade 9 and so you’d just be throwing away perfectly good money for no reason.

I don’t believe there are any awards given by the exam board to the candidate with the highest overall mark.
Unless you mean to say your school gives awards to the highest scorers. If so, it is very unlikely that there will be anyone who beat 170/180 in your school.

no no they the board does give i think they are called opla awards there is highest in the world which is 180/180 then highest in region and then highest in country

wait im in uae and im doing my GCSE's this year do you have any tips to get grades like you and I do the same exam board but I do get good grades but im kinda stressed about the final exam

Yea so I’ll tell u what’s the best thing to do, I knew I was gonna get a 9 since grade 10 start as I always did my hw and was on top of the class but I wanted highest in Middle East so I started studying very hard I I started from September and first I read the whole text book then I did past papers but I did the past papers over and over because after a while u will forget them mainly because I did the papers in my mind without writing anything then also I would re read the textbook constantly to get my info perfect then near the exam season I would do a lot more paper also do old spec it’s the same thing just without the diff qs the day before exam I would read the whole book and since December any q I would get stuck on I would save it and write a explanation so I would redo all those qs before the exam and plus like 3-4 papers well this is only for like world distinction

did you find that the questions on the gcse were the same or similar to past papers specifically from the the old specs because I was thinking they would use questions from the old spec to make new gcse papers

Yea like ideas were literally from old spec and also don’t underestimate 2024 papers thinking ideas from it won’t come in 2025 also out of any chem past paper I ever did 2024 was by far the easiest like questions were literally copy pasted from past paper there was no creativity like the catalyst 3 marker was from 2021 cause chem is just memeorisation

Yea just treat mocks as real exams and when I mean real I mean REAL and also even if u mess up p1 abit still try to get full p2 cause marking scheme may allow some marks from ur p1 mistakes also for Eng I went from 6 in the mock to highest in school 121/150

Dw same here just that it’s ur own work also my in my school two years ago someone got 11 world Distinctions from which 3 were alevels so yea the old teachers are very good but the new ones are horrendous

I got the same thing. My old teachers were amazing but half of the trs left and got new ones and no offence they suck at teaching even though my school is like 60,000 AED. Your chem marks are rlly good tho.
