hi! i'm currently starting y13 this month and i'm thinking of applying to UCL as an option. specifically the new art and technology course at UCL Slade, and i was wondering if anyone else is thinking of applying for this. obvs its a new course since the first year of it running is sep25 so i'm not expecting tons of info, but is anyone is applying to UCL Slade in general for art? pretty interested in what its like there since I have only ever been to the main campus <3 also how picky is Slade with portfolios and grades? i've heard about how art foundation year would help entry but i'm not sure how conditional that makes a normal offer.
Hi, I'm Scarlett! Thanks for creating this thread Emmanuella!
1) I am doing Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Computer Science at A Level.
2) I'm planning on applying for Economics. I love Economics because of the impact it has on people, I'm really interested in macroeconomics and the impact policies can have on citizens of a country!
3) I've visited UCL a couple of times and I really like the vibe there, plus the course modules really appeal to me!
4) I don't have to sit any admissions tests.
6) Not planning on going to any Open Days, I've already visited.
7) I feel really weird about starting university. I've been in the same school for the last 10 years and the idea of this being my last year is crazy to me!

1) What A Levels are you doing (or other eligible qualifications)? As a mature student I have A level French A, and an Access to HE Diploma in Modern History( diplomas are equivalent to 3 A levels) with distinction
2) What course at UCL do you have your eyes on? I’ve applied for French(post-A level) and beginners Italian
And why? I love French and France and have spent some time living and working in Francophone countries.
3) Why UCL specifically? It has one of the largest French departments, great lecturers and modules on African and Asian Francophone literature and culture. With a few exceptions many other unis focus on just France and Europe.
4) Would you have to sit any admissions tests? No
6) Will you be attending any Open Days for UCL? Possibly
7) How are you feeling about starting University? Really excited

1) I am doing the IB diploma, with English lang&lit, French B, Math AA and Business at higher level and physics and German B at standard level 2) I have my eyes on law, as I have loved the internship I did in it and the online courses I took 3) UCL specifically I like because its curriculum for law is very interesting, and it offers me options to choose from in later years to specialise in. I also like that it is in London, it's central, and people talk about a great university life there 4) I already sat the LNAT as I was applying for the early deadline 6) I won't be attending any open days, sadly, as I am an international student and do not live in the UK 7) I can't wait to start university and finally study something that is my passion. Because of that also extra extra impatient about the offers and UCAS updates 😂 Can't stop checking my email
Please can we have a spreadsheet for UCL?

I do the IB, with Math, Politics, and Economics Higher Levels.

Philosophy, Politics and Economics, because I enjoy those subjects at 6th form, and they keep a lot of careers options open.

Yes - the virtual one
