1) I'm doing psychology, religious studies and economics
2) I have applied for social anthropology and philosophy because not many unis do that combo and i love both subjects!
3) I got 8888888876 at GCSE and I am predicted A*A*A* at A-Level
4) I really like the city, I do acting too so manchester is a great city to continue that. Great academic uni as well
5) no admissions test!
6) Probably not ☹️
7) Quite nervous ngl
8) I've already submitted my UCAS, but I have applied to Cambridge (Trinity Hall), LSE, UCL, Warwick and Manchester!!

I'm doing Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry
I'm applying for compsci and maths with placement year because I want to do computer science even though my school didn't offer it but I still want to keep my options open with the help of maths.
I got 7A*'s , 2A's and 3 B's and I'm predicted A*A*A*A for my A levels and A* in EPQ
I like the fact that there lots of career opportunities there and I like the course modules
I'm sitting the TMUA (although it's not required for Manchester)
I'm attending an open day tomorrow (I'm excited)
I can't wait to start uni although I am a bit nervous
I'm looking at Cambridge, Bath, Edinburgh and Birmingham as my other choices.

1) im taking physics, chemistry, maths, further maths (option modules of further pure 1, further pure 2, further mechanics 1, further mechanics 2)
2) physics and maths, absolutely love both subjects but for quite different reasons, i like pure maths and i find some of the maths in physics not too interesting, i want to be able to do group theory and set theory and more pure maths topics
3) predicted A*A*A*A*, GCSE grades of 9999999886 (8s in maths and english lit, 6 in DT)
4) the choice allowed in option modules, it being one of my friends top choice, and as a safety
5) STEP for UCL physics and maths, PAT for oxford physics (will transfer onto their MMathPhys as you cant directly apply to it), ESAT for imperial physics+theoretical physics. I started preparing for them around the start of summer, though not much on STEP, a fair bit but none recently for ESAT cause im taking the January sitting and the PAT is 11 days away.
6) no, i live quite far in south west london and i didnt manage to get any open days anywhere in time, whoops
7) excited! scared about offers though, admissions tests too, like what if it all goes wrong.
8 ) oxford, imperial, UCL, and st andrews, st andrews theoretical physics and maths, UCL physics and maths, imperial physics and theoretical physics, oxford physics then transfer onto theoretical physics and maths.

Also, just got my Manchester interview yesterday. The physics department run the admissions for the MMathPhys course and I looked it up and the physics department give offers to everyone they interview granted you dont like, admit to lying on your personal statement or say you dont like the subject of something. So this is basically my first offer and im excited!
Though the interview AFAIK is required to be in person and mines scheduled at 12:00 on a wednesday so ive gotta book a hotel the night before because i dont relly feel like leaving the house at 6 or 7 AM and driving 5 or 6 hours, or a 8 hour train journey or something

I've applied for Law, does anyone know when home students are likely to hear back? I've heard it won't be till after the 29th January deadline

1) What A Levels are you doing (or other eligible qualifications)?
I'm taking English Lit, Politics, Psychology, and Spanish ☺️

2) What course at Manchester do you have your eyes on? And why?
Applied for Politics & International Relations! I honestly just love it and can't see myself studying anything else

3) What grades did you get/are you predicted to get at GCSE and Sixth Form?
Predicted 4 A*s for A-levels, and my GCSEs were 9999999999 (still don't know how I copped that)

4) Why Manchester specifically?
I love the city and the campus so much, it's a perfect blend of old and modern, and the course looks really good

5) Which admissions tests do you have to sit if any, and when will you start preparing for them?
N/A

6) Will you be attending any Open Days?
I went to one in late June - even though it was raining, I still enjoyed it... which says it all because that's how it'll be year-round🥲

7) How are you feeling about starting University?
Terrified but also very excited!! I live like 5 hours from Manchester though which could be worse but the journey is a killer

8) Other unis you're interested in?
I applied to Cambridge for HSPS, then for Politics & IR at Bristol, Leeds, and UCL ☺️

1) I'm doing English Language, Classical Civilisations, German and Psychology
2) I've already got an offer for Archaeology at Manchester and I'm probably putting it as my insurance
3) 99999998888 at GCSE and predicted 4A*s at A-level
4) I'm really into orienteering and the area around Manchester is good for it. Plus the archaeology course at Manchester is egyptology focused and you can do egyptian hieroglyphs and I love languages
5) N/A
6) I'll probably go along to one of the offer holder days. I'm currently trying to decide whether I put Southampton or Manchester as my insurance (hoping I get a Cambridge offer though)
7) I'm really excited to start uni (very generic) and a bit nervous since I'll be doing a subject not offered at A-level
8) I'm also applying for Cambridge (it feels like one really long panic attack) and I've also got offers from Southampton and SOAS so far

I’ve seen similar threads for other unis have a form and spreadsheet for people who have offers/rejections from the uni. Is there one for Manchester?

At the moment this thread seems to be very quiet, volunteers are creating spreadsheets where there is clearly a demand for them, but this doesn't look busy enough yet to warrant a spreadsheet as each one is quite a bit of work to set up and maintain.

If lots of people are reading this and you're applying to Manchester, can you post below to introduce yourself?

If you'd like an offer tracker spreadsheet and Google form then please quote this post and let me know. If enough people ask, we can make it happen.
