DBS check is incomplete! Worried I cannot be enrolled onto adult nursing course

I am late to giving the required document to enrol as my provisional licence is still yet to come and I am worried I won't be able to be enrolled on time. I am aware this is my fault for doing it so late but I am wondering if there is some way to work around this. Has anyone experienced the same situation?

U will have to get in touch with your university and tell them the situation and they might be able to organise something but it does definitely slow the enrolment process down

My DBS hasn’t come back yet but I was still able to enrol on my course, so depending on your uni you should be able to still enrol as soon as you have sent your application off. But I would call the admissions department at your uni to explain and see what they say.

Hi yes some Uni's wont let you enrol without the dbs clearance. What Uni are you going to thats allowed you to enrol?

I am starting uni of Huddersfield in sept. How the admissions team explained it to me was that I could enrol as soon as the DBS application was at a certain stage and they receive confirmation of registration, I believe, which was only a few days after sending off my documents. I’m not sure exactly what this means, but I know DBS turn around takes at least 2 weeks and I was able to enrol before that.

I called the University DBS office number and they said I could bring all the documents I could under my name and I could get it done there! super simple and now my things things are being processed. Thank you!!!

Yes, instead of my provisional licence I used my bank statements. I never even thought of calling the admissions department, thank you for helping out!!
