If you're even a little artsy, you're in luck! There's a bunch of stuff, my favourite is making phone wallpapers which reference a special moment with that person. Don't worry, you don't have to be crazy talented (god knows i can't paint to save my life), truth be told tracing's my best friend! Plus you can always keep the art style nice and simple+clean.

Origami: maybe a little painful at times, but damn is it impressive and fun!
•
Photo frame +collage, a nice reminder of all the amazing times you guys have had together.
•
Keychains: you can find a keychain of basically anything online these days. Maybe there's an inside joke, or a place or something that could work? You might be able to fashion something if you're a bit handsy and resourceful!
•
A card - a must if you ask me, probably a tag on with something else though!
•
ANYTHING handmade I find is always the best, go wild! The internet and youtube is full of great ideas so there's no excuses! Bookmarks (great for bookworms ofc!), those origami flower boquets, there was that trend a while back about making like album covers and then framing them in like the spotify player? idk if you get what i mean, but let your imagination run free!

If he does love books, then get him a book, or maybe you could customise the cover of one his favourite books (definitely a bit more difficult, definitely way out of my expertise!)
•
A spotify playlist full of songs you both like, maybe some which have a special meaning
