Year 13 Advice

Hi, i am just about to start year 13 and i need some advice on how best i can make the most of this year. i did relatively well in my mocks, nothing exceptional but well enough that my teachers have no concerns. i do three a levels in math's, history and product design and i will also be doing my epq this year. any advice on how to best balance my time and the best ways to hit the ground running will be greatly appreciated.
thank you

Hi @Charlie xoxo

I would recommend planning out your revision for the year so that you can stay on top of it and make sure to revise everything without having to do it last minute! You will also be able to plan when you are going to do any course work to avoid having to work on it during the main exam season.

I used to find it helpful and more enjoyable if I mixed up revision techniques. Some of my favourite techniques included making mind maps, answering exam questions, and watching videos online.

Finally, year 13 can be tough so it is really important that you give yourself breaks from studying to do things that you enjoy. For example, if you have a hobby, try to keep doing that throughout the year and exam season.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey @Charlie xoxo

I would try something like a large wall planner to help you to plan out your year in advance, having something visual can really help you to stay on track!

I would plot your exams and work backwards making a revision timetable from there. I'd also add any important deadlines like the ones for your EPQ.

I hope this helps!
