UCAT query 2024

Hey all,

I have seen people have posted that UCAT official mocks C and D are most similar to the UCAT exam.

I have just completed Mock C and my results were as the following:

VR: 26/44
DM: 16/29
QR: 18/36
AR: 28/50
SJT: 39/69

According to Medical schools expert I would have achieved 2460 and B3 but according to Medic mind it is 2450 and B2. Either way quite a low score which could have easily been improved if the computer did not lag so much.

For anyone that has sat the UCAT does the computer lag like it did in the UCAT official mock? I also noticed that I couldn't flag by slecting "alt + F". Did this happen to anyone else during the mocks? Or the real thing? I feel if not for the lagging I could have performed better. My time was slowed down by a lot.

This will be my third time sitting the UCAT and from both previous tests I have performed much better in QR and AR with scores between 680 to 710. Not sure if it was entirely down to speed that led to the scores.

Any advice, help or suggestions are welcomed - due to sit the UCAT next week.

the keyboard shortcuts all work perfectly fine, and the calculator is much faster, and the speed at which alt+n and alt+p work at is somewhere inbetween medify's and official ucat, but a bit more towards medify. If you dont use medify, medify next/prev question is virtually instant. but i can assure you there wont be time inconveniences in the exam

Thanks for this! Yeah I use medify and that is such a relief to know. Was getting a little worried but feeling reassured now

That’s so odd
Has anyone had issues with the official UCAT mocks on the website, mine keeps crashing and the furthest I've got is halfway through DM, it says something about an error, then puts a message about the server and not sure what to do/if anyone else has had the same?

I didn’t get that however it was extremely
lagging behind! It’s already time pressured as it is but I have been reassured by those who have already taken the exam that nothing like that happens which is a relief!

One thing I’d say is don’t let it get to you. May not have been what you had wished for but you worked hard for it and this is only the beginning, mine is tomorrow. What were you getting in your mocks btw and what platform did you use? Did the computer lag?

Do you mean hardest SJT btw? I’ve legit been getting band 2/3 on medify so annoying hoping to get band 1.

hey I used medify and this was closest to my real score and no lagging in the exam, it's kind of down to luck sadly with the difficulty of the questions I got unlucky I guess, best of luck for today and let me know how u do!

Just completed my exam - 2550 Band 1. I often averaged 2200-2300 on medify so glad I did better, just hoping now it’ll be enough for interviews.

Like I mentioned above I kept getting Band 2/3 on medify so happy with the Band 1. Disappointed with AR because it was often my best section in mocks but only managed to score 610 on it and was hoping for much better but it is well - onto the next step!

Might do 1 scottish uni and the rest english not too sure rn want to see how the unis will assess each candidates UCAT so I don’t end up adding a wasted choice. Wby?

I think we can expect interim results by next Monday?

Yeah I think Scottish unis tend to have lower cutoffs for home students so you could be all good for four options!
