Share code

I am a non-EU national with Pre-Settled Status because I am married to an EU national. I applied for full financial support. They asked for my original passport and marriage certificate, which I have already sent. But they also need my spouse’s share code. When we try to get her share code, we get a message saying her status cannot be proven. We contacted the Home Office, and they said they are working to fix this. My spouse received Settled Status in early 2020. My university course starts in three weeks, and I am worried. Will SFE accept a letter from the Home Office instead? Or, if I apply for tuition fee support only with my Pre-Settled Status, will I still need to provide her share code?
Hi Smoraez,

You wouldn't be eligible for funding in your own right as a Rest of the World national with pre settled status. If you are applying as the family member of a settled person we would need your wife's share code so you may need to speak to the Home Office about this.

Thanks,
Calum
