Do I have a competitive application for Law 2025

Hi. I'm applying to KCL, LSE, UCL, Sheffield and Surrey for Law 2025 entry. I've been predicted A*AA and take History, Government and Politics and Psychology. My GCSES were 98887777665 and I have not taken my LNAT yet but would love to be given a rough idea on where my LNAT score should be at. I would love for some insight on whether I have a competitive application for UCL, LSE and KCL in particular, and any tips anyone may have.

Nothing there suggests an uncompetitive application! LNAT probably the most important part of your application right now, what are you using to revise this? I would recommend Arbitio for LNAT prep, and doing all of the practice on it before the LNAT. For a benchmark, I scored 32 and got offers from UCL, LSE, and KCL. Although I know people who scored 26/27 and got into Oxbridge. Different places weight the LNAT differently. It tends to be that KCL and LSE weight multiple choice (section A) heavily whilst UCL looks for a stronger section B. lmk if there's anything else! Good luck!

I am using Arbitio right now but haven't fully started preparation for it yet. Thank you for all this, I really appreciate it! Do you mind telling me more about your personal statement I'm completely stumped and have no idea how universities would like it to include. For example, any book recommendations, super curriculars etc. as I've been told it needs to be quite academic but I have no idea where to start.

Hello! Current UCL Law student here. I think your predictions/grades are good and I'd recommend aiming for 26/27+ for a good LNAT score. I personally got 30 but my peers have scores ranging from 24-30+. As for personal statement, I'd explain why law and why you would make a good candidate. I talked about my interest in public international law and what I did to learn more about the subject in my PS.

Hi. thank you for responding I really appreciate your insights! If you don't mind me asking, what were you or others predicted for UCAS and what did people get? I'm a bit worried that an A*AA might not be enough as UCL itself is so competitive with LSE and Kings.

Hello! I was personally predicted 3 A*s but not everyone at UCL Laws has 3A*s, I know several people with A*AA predictions and results who have a place.

Hiya! I haven't receive my LNAT score yet as I took it this year but from all my research, I would try and aim for around the 27 mark at the least. I've been given an offer for King's and an interview for Oxford, both looking at the LNAT, especially Oxford, and one thing I would recommend is to avoid excessive revision. I did a few questions from the multiple choice section daily or if college work overwhelmed me, weekly. I wouldn't really recommend doing a lot of full past papers as it would only stress you out and would only recommend you do any if you know you have an issue with timing as the LNAT timing, especially for Section A, is pretty tricky. The best way to practice Section B is writing as many essays as you can and giving them to teachers to read. Giving them to friends to check if they're coherent also helps greatly, along with presenting your ideas through discussions with friends as well. Good luck!!!
