DSA HELP!! Laptop

Hi guys , just wondering if anyone has had experience purchasing a DSA laptop on the open market. I have asked to purchase my laptop on the open market and SFE have sent me how much they’ll contribute towards a laptop if I purchase it myself and it works out being cheaper than if I go through the supplier. I would like to go ahead with this but I’d like to see if anyone could tell me their experience of buying it this way, and how long it took to get reimbursed by SFE and how they bough insurance/warranty for theirs. I’m particularly looking at buying a MacBook Air, so would be grateful if anyone could share their experience!

Hello, I work in H.E so I can help (a bit). When you get a laptop through DSA you need to make a £200 contribution to the cost of it. As far as I am aware, funding is approved for a particular laptop with or without supportive software such as Grammarly, acrobat reader etc depending on your specific needs. There are approved providers of the tech, from memory Logitech might have been one of them. The perfect opportunity to ask them is during your consultation they will invite you to when you have sent your DSA application off
