Do universities care if the subject you want to study is your weakest one?

Im currently in year 13 and i want to study english literature at university. My predicted grades are a* for politics, a* for history, and a for english literature. My problem is that english literature is my lowest grade so im worried some universities may not want to accept me because of that.

One of the universities i want to go to requires a*aa for english literature and even though I have those grades, im worried they might reject me because english literature is only an a. its a pretty prestigious university, but its not oxbridge though...

if anyone could give me some advice i would really appreciate it
If you're still preicted an A and there are no specific grade requirements, it's not going to make any difference.
As above - unless it actually states that Eng Lit must be at A* then don't worry.
Marketing legislation means that Unis have to be totally upfront and honest about entry requirements and so there are no 'secrets' or information that only special people know. If they say "A*AA including Eng Lit" that is what they want.
