A Level choice for medicine

Hi so I’m about to take my GCSEs this year and I’m trying to decide what a levels to take I want to go into med so I’m planning on taking biology chemistry and math but I need a fourth subject and I don’t know what to pick I thought about psychology or sociology but I don’t know if they are hard a level subject or not. My GCSEs for biology chemistry and math are all predicted either 8/9 so I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to take those for A level
Does your school make you take 4?
It's better to focus on 3 because unis only care about 3 subjects and for medicine you'll want to do lots of stuff for your ps and prep for admissions tests too. You'll also want very high grades.
That aside, pick whichever youre interested in more. Watch some YouTube videos to get student perspectives and read the specs. Psychology links more to med if that's of interest.

Entry requirements for all UK Med Schools - none of them require or prefer 4 A levels :

You don't need maths unless applying to Cambridge (in which case either maths or physics is fine as your third subject) and you don't need 4 anywhere (and you don't get "bonus points" for extra A-levels at almost any medical school).

Just takes chem/bio and whatever else you enjoy that you think you can get an A or A* in safely as a third. Then focus your time on getting the grades in those and later, preparing for the UCAT.
