HELP- I’m going to be studying biomedical sciences in September and I need help- BCU

Lectures are between 5-7 this is the latest they’ll be at BCU but my parents aren’t really happy because it’s late and I’m a girl and their religios and feel some thing bad might happen to me, what should I do?
They told me ask if I can do the work at home but practicals are at that time Aswell so how does this work? I also have severe OCD and don’t know what to do because this clashes with my rituals I do at the time at home

Hi @Aninymouse

Sorry, we never saw your post a while ago! Has this been sorted now?

If not, then is there any way you can get a lift for when you're in university until 7pm? If they are nervous I'd reassure them that you'll be in a busy area with lots of people commuting home from work and college.

You could also see if others on your course want to travel back together if you get public transport.

If you don't think any of the above is possible, then explain the situation to your faculty student centre and they may be able to help you out 🙂 You can get information about your faculty student centre for HELS here: https://www.bcu.ac.uk/student-info/welcome/help-and-advice/support
