Southampton Accommodation Move-In Day

Hi, so on the Southampton accommodation portal it says that I am moving into halls on the 21st. On their website though, https://www.southampton.ac.uk/studentservices/hotline-what-to-bring.page, they say that I need to complete their "Essential Life in Halls" induction before I can book my move-in day. I can't find this induction on their website or their accommodation portal, so I'm super confused at the moment. Do I need just arrive on the 21st or do I need to complete their induction then book?

I think we have to book in a slot. I asked support and they said oline halls induction went live on the accomodation portal yesterday, and that arrivals booking would be today. I can't find either though...

Hey there!

There are multiple move in days for the different halls from the 19th-21st. You've said that you're moving in on the 21st so the Saturday. You will be notified via email (check your student email!) about when the induction for halls goes live. When this is the case you should follow the link on the email if you receive one or just log right on to our accommodation portal and access it. You might have to click onto your offer and access it through there, as this can be how you access it (at least this was the case with me when I was living in halls). After completing this induction, you will be able to book a slot for your move-in, which will give you a specific time. This is done to control traffic so that there's enough parking around the halls and enough trolleys and people to help you, so please make sure to adhere close to your time slot. hi there,
I was able to the induction but am not able to book the arrival slots as I cannot see where it is and I have tried different browsers and contacted the uni about this. Idk what to do art this now

I had this issue earlier today. I was using my phone but they recommended doing it on a laptop. When I did this the link came up :smile:
