I’m sure you’ll atleast get the B then, best of luck 💪💪💪

Thanks man, even a B would be enough to at least meet the s5 minimum for the uni I want. Although I believe I got AAAAA I would honesdly be happy if my Cs became B

Honestly it’s so unfair, business for example I got a low B in, every single test I’ve ever done for it was band 1 A and I even got 100% in the assignment and confident I got 100% in the question paper. These results are so weird. The craziest part is for higher maths I noted down all my answers as I remembered them all after looking at the question paper which was put onto team by my teacher straight after the exam. He made a marking scheme and I got 72% on it and today sqa released their marking scheme and it was identical to my teachers yet they gave me 55%. I don’t even know what to say anymore

Something is definitely up with the higher business marking as I thought I did rubbish in the exam (I thought I got around half marks) but I just got all my marks back from the SQA this afternoon and somehow managed to get an A1 overall, 68/90 in the exam but I got 30/30 in the assignment as well so that helped as one mark less would have been an A2. Hope your appeals go well.

Returning to this thread, my school has been in pandemonium since we've come back to school with how most people failed to achieve the grades they wanted or were predicted. My D&M teacher is refusing to accept my folio score because he argues it is much better than the 2 past higher D&M folios from the last highers who sat it 2 years before I did (I'm not going to personally comment on that one lmao) and they both got marked really well but likely had it marked better since it was in 2022 and had COVID rules. I am curious as to what went wrong in my folio for it to be marked a lot lower than I had expected.

There have also been incidents of my head teacher telling teacher's our attainment was much lower than other schools in our area yet at the parent council meeting (I attend as I am a house captain) he told parents that we were doing much better than the schools in our area that are most comparable to our school (in terms of size--pupils and staff--and general schooling) in all areas of attainment. My teacher was so confused because she had been told and had told a couple of us in the pupil leadership team about how he said we were doing so much worse.

There is definitely some wild problems with the SQA this year and I honestly think it is mental considering how important exams are for a lot of people with what they want to do in the future.
