Hiya @Manchester Met - Student Rep ,

Yes, I definitely can relate! My timetable seemed a bit overwhelming when I first got it, but I just wanted to jump in here to offer some reassurance, that although it might seem a lot, confusing and understandably a bit stressful, you will be surprised at how quickly you fall into a steady routine when you arrive. Within a couple of weeks, you will know more about where you need to go, how much time you have between classes, how much work you need to do etc so it becomes a lot easier to manage your social time. Just remember, uni is a huge step forward in your futures - just give yourself time to get used to your new life, and not just the timetables!

Hi there!

It's definitely easy to feel overwhelmed by trying to balance work and social life at uni! When I'm trying to find a routine, I find time blocking really handy, rather than organising my day by tasks. Whether you want to make a fancy version with different colour coded times, or just do it in your head, blocking out time in your day reserved for yourself can really help you to find your balance.
However, don't be afraid to be flexible with your schedule. One of my favourite things about uni is how flexible you can be with how you spend your time, depending on your current workload, or other events. Once you've been at uni for a little while, it's much easier to fall into routine, and change things around when you need to!

Hope this helps, and good luck for the next year at uni!
