I want to become a dancer

I’ve been doing dance (ballet, modern, whatever category kpop goes into) on and off since I was really little and I want to get back into it. I stopped doing it during the middle of secondary school but started again during college. However, the girls in my club were amazing and I always felt judged by them for not being at their level and now I feel like I’m a horrible dancer. I have no confidence when I dance and feel like I look terrible and ridiculous. I really want to improve and become like Nicole Laeno and Nozi standard. Is this possible in around a year or few months? Please give me tips on how to improve. Also learning choreo is hard and I feel like I have really slow memory, idk how people pick up the moves so fast. Please help 😕🫶

hey so firstly don’t compare yourself to other dancers, everyone is on their own journeys and everyone is unique and dances their own way. everyone has something different to offer!

do you still attend classes?
attending regular dance classes will help improve your skills.
i’m just wondering if you have a preferred style of dance?

in terms of ability, commitment and dedication can be the very best for improvement. and passion! if you have all that then yes you will improve in a year.
attend regular classes if you can, don’t worry about picking up choreography, i struggle with this , it’s something that will improve over time.

if you can ,be as versatile as you can so attend different styles. so mix up your training with ballet , jazz and even commercial classes if you can.

yess jazz is definitely a good option, commercial dance is also up best and fun sort of like back up dancing you’d see in concerts (probably the best way to describe it) would that be joining in lessons at your school as in high school? like secondary school . sounds exciting
