Sfe: change in EU settlement

Hi, i am a returning student receiving maintenance loan as a child of migrant worker. I previously held a presettled status which has now changed to a settled status in May this year.

My dad is having problems at work so i wanted to receive the maintenance loan as a UK student now that i have my status.

Following the online instructions, i did send my status code, HMRC letter and a cover letter. However i did not receive any confirmation that this has been updated.

Is there any other way to know that?

Hiya, thanks for the reply.

I received an email confirming that the evidence was received on the 31st July. I did upload the letter from the home office and my share code along with a cover letter stating that I wanted to be assessed as a home student instead of a eu child of migrant worker.

Also wanted to mention that I have been approved student finance/maintenance loan for this academic year and awaiting confirmation about registration if that affects anything?

That just means the applications approved and payments are ready.

Yeh. But my application was approved before i sent my sent my settled status documents. Is there any way to confirm that I am being assessed as a Home student rather than an EU CHILD OF MIGRANT WORKER?

Nope. I can’t seem to find any evidence of the documents being sent on my online account. I’ve only got the email stating that sfe would contact me when it’s done being assessed.

I'd advise to contact us directly to ensure we did receive them and provide a date for the processing to be completed.
You can either, access the live chat on your online account, or call 0300 100 0607.
