When I did my AS I was basically revising all the time in my free periods and got AABC. For my A Levels I started revision about 2 weeks before the exams with literally no after school work and got AAA in the end. Don't ask how that worked lol.

Yep, I was a geek in the library :p: . But when I revised for AS I wasn't at all effective and thinking back, I could have saved a lot of time.

That's dedicated, I guess going over your notes is revision though, so that's easily excusable

Focused revision close to the exams works for me, some of my modules will only get a few days revision but it will be intense revision. Others prefer to do longer periods of revision, whatever suits you really.

hey can someone help me!
i think im going to retake my chem, bio and psycholohy AS unit 1 in jan. on top of that im gonna do my unit 2 exams for 4 subjects; and i know i did really bad especially in chem
so when shall i start revising????????????? i need A's
thanks
You're better off revising as you go along so you know what you're doing and don't have to cram everything in just before the exams.
for my AS exams, I started revising over the Easter holidays, and got AAAA. This wasn't non stop either...I went to a party in May half term, slap bang in the middle of exams. And felt the effects for a couple of days afterwards, which mayyyy have disrupted revision temporarily.
I think for A2 I will start properly just after February half term, working around coursework deadlines and things...espcially for History, as it's a synoptic exam, urgh.

I'll start revising in a couple of weeks but nothing too major until a month before, I've only got 5
I'm going to start the second my jan exams are over. The cramming i've done over the last 2 weeks is something i definitely don't want to go through in summer!
For AS, I started at Easter. Ended up with AAAB. I think there was little point in starting any earlier and I'll probably do the same thing this year. But everyone's different, so do what you feel most comfortable with
Easter is the best time to start revising. Last year, I worked extremely hard in the Easter holidays and so had a calm break when everyone else was rushing at the last minute to revise. I did not get perfect grades (AAAB), but I got over 90% in module grades for history and law.

However, it is entirely subject to one's own style and preferences.
I really miss my old over seas friends I made on Xbox Live.
could you please tell me what subjects these were at and how much hours per day u put in when u began in Easter, thanks!
Hi there,
What made your A2 revision effective compared to your AS? What did you do that saved you loads of time.
Some serious necromancy going on in this thread.
