If you used Clearing in 2024, how did you find it?

Quick question about student finance application

Hi so quick question. I am a bit paranoid and worried but hopefully I didn’t cancel my application? I am going on to second year and was scrolling through my finance and clicked on cancel application without reading it… it didn’t cancel at all but re-directed me to the application page in which there were options. So I had to double check and my application is still there but I just wanted quick re-assurance that it was not cancelled. It says you have to phone them to cancel it so hopefully nothing happened.

Also my loan says ready to be paid which will be in late September. While my maintenance loan says ready to be paid and my application is approved, the course says “confirming application status.” I think that is what it says. Thanks if you can answer it

Hi there,

We don't have account access on public forum so we can't confirm if it has been cancelled but from the sounds of it, the application has not been cancelled.

For your payments, it'll probably be showing 'awaiting confirmation'. This means that we require the university to confirm your Registration and Attendance to release your payments.

Hi so my university did confirm my registration and my maintenance loan says ready to be paid now. I meant when you click on application as a whole, it just says confirming all status. I don’t start university until late September so does it basically mean that it will fix when I actually attend university. Thank you!

Hi yes my question was basically saying it does say ready to be paid for my maintenance loan not awaiting confirmation because the university confirmed my registration. I am saying that the payments to the university which will be in October says awaiting confirmation. Which is why I think my course says confirming details. But overall, for my maintenance loan it says ready to be paid.

Yes, that is correct. We need your attendance to be sent by the university before we pay the Tuition Fees. They don't send this until after your course is started which is why the fees are scheduled after the Maintenance Loan. Thanks, Leah.
