Your school CANNOT stop you applying to Oxbridge! If parents are allowing this they should be challenging Governors/Trustees.
Oxbridge can't discriminate against 3 as some school only offer 3.

The school basically won’t support your application. Obviously I can apply wherever I want.

Why are parents allowing this? They need to take the school to task - it is discriminatory.

Pointless to pay for a school that does not support you to get into the uni you want and have the grades for.

I did the FSMQ and I felt it was a real help at A level; it covers the majority of the AS pure content which was particularly helpful for our FM set as it allowed us to get through the single maths material more quickly. It was also just interesting for its own sake and provided a welcome relief from the frankly often pretty boring GCSE content.

As a personal anecdote, I did find the initial parts of the OCR FSMQ fairly challenging - I almost dropped it (very glad I didn't) but ended up doing quite well but it does require hard work and perseverance. But you can do it!

Fingers crossed!
