I failed First year economics at Newcastle University what can i do

What are my options I got 37% on a resit of a core module (stats) and am not being allowed to progress. I got the results yesterday, I have booked meetings with the relevant staff but I am seeking advice on what to do going forward.

What were your other marks? What were the reasons for failing this particular module twice?

I had circumstances near the time of the resit but I neglected to submit a personal extenuating circumstances request

my exams were good for economic analysis (55) where I got 67 and 68 but I didn't submit the online assessments bringing it down to 55

Not too shabby. You seem to have problems submitting things on time. Have you talked to your SU about your situation?

You need the have a very good reason why you didn't submit an EC claim prior to the resit.

You should again enroll in this subject and work hard, and if you find any difficulty, I can help you in this regard

From my knowledge it depends on the course and also the type of modules. If it is a core module but you’ve passed everything else, you may be able to continue 2nd year whilst also completing the module you have failed.
Id suggest calling the university help line and also emailing relevant people such as head of the module and year.

In the case that you're unable to continue to 2nd year and you don’t happen to repeat 1st year I am currently looking for a room for this academic year.
Please message me on facebook (Muzz EO) if you end up no longer needing your accomodation/housing for this year.

I hope this was informative, good luck 👍
