Are there any med schools that accept 3 A level resits

I'm doing my a levels for the third time now I'm 20 years old. I don't mind doing a foundation year. On my first 2 attempts I got B in business E in chem and D in biology. I then decided I want to switch my life back around and work on my mental health conditions (combined Adhd, anxiety + depression). Since then I have been working as a carer and HCA in hospitals and building up my experience and have been studying for UCAT and A levels I don't know if I should do GEM or is there any unis that will take this?

Have a look here (looks like it's not yet updated fro 2025 entry though): https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6649138
It's also worth carefully checking websites and emailing the unis you're planning to apply to about your specific circumstances to see if they will consider your extenuating circumstances, but bear in mind they will still likely want predicted grades that meet the entry requirements. Generally, GEM is not a great idea if you're a school leaver - it's obviously way more expensive, takes longer and is more competitive, so it's definitely worth trying for foundation year/gateway courses if you're eligible.

while i don't really have any answers to your query, you seem like such a strong and resilient person, i am proud of you! i really pray you end up getting a spot, you deserve it, definitely let them know about your extenuating circumstances, it might be worth actually calling up unis, sending best wishes

Hey, I just want to say I'm in the exact same position as you; working as an HCA after my doing my Biological Sciences degree but realising med is my true passion. However, I dont stand a chance at GEM with a 2:2, so i've been trying to navigate out of the tough situation ive put myself in. I hope you've managed to get onto medicine
