I personally prefer philosophy and it is more looked up to by universities than re, but figure out whether you like theology or philosophy and don't stress too much since its not a relevant subject

My background is more stronger for RE, I’ve never done anything to do with philosophy. But even with RE would it be okay?
yes I'm sure, but try to link it somehow with your personal life or hobbies or even academics, so it doesnt look lke youve taken it randomly (for Personal Statement, CV and interviews etc.), good luck!

for me im self studying philosophy the exam itself is easy over half the marks just for content and the rest on essays but ive heard the rs is quite easy for ppl who did well at gcse like i did and i wanted a challenge but overall philosophy is harder because there are more abstract concepts but it depends on the person at the end of the day.

ahhhh okayyy, thankyou so much!

im going to be doing them both private too, just not in a school. that's why im confused, im going to be fitting all content into one year rather than 2. my personal knowledge bg is more higher in rs, but I didnt do it at GCSE. but rs is content heavy whereas philosophy seems straight forward, are there a lot of theories??
I also dont understand how their exams work?
