Maths A-level

Is doing Maths A-level worth it and actually realistic? I have started it today and already i am regretting it. My teacher has no respect and is working at a super quick pace. He doesn't treat the class well and the lesson was very overwhelming when it didn't need to be. He kept telling us how hard it is going to be and that some of us should not expect to do better than a B. He's already made me cry once and i'm not sure if i can handle anymore of maths. I only want to continue with Maths A-level if it's beneficial and not a waste of time. For reference I achieved a grade 8 at gcse maths and have had three days of college so far.

It generally depends what you want to do in the future. If it’s something like economics that requires maths then I’d recommend taking it all the way, but otherwise if you’re really not enjoying it there’s no harm in dropping it if you’re doing four, or picking up a new one if you’re doing three, as you’re not likely to do well in a subject you’re not passionate about . I would advise you to give it a bit of time (maybe two-three weeks?) before making a decision, as you may grow to like it a bit more. I feel like the teacher is simply doing fear tactics to scare you into working harder (not really the way to go about it in my opinion). With an 8 at GCSE you could certainly achieve above a B if you’re willing to put the hours in
