Are my A-levels good for an English literature degree/are these subjects good?

Hi,I'm a student who just started year 12 who originally planned to take English literature, psychology and history but unfortunately my school is not running history,so I've decided to do A-level sociology instead.

Are these A-levels good for an English lit degree and will I be seen as a competitive university/Russel group applicant with English lit, psychology and sociology A-levels? also I would love to hear advice from people who are doing/have done this A-level combination(especially if anyone is doing OCR English literature)

For English Lit you will only need A level English Lit - the other two subjects wont be specified and all the Unis are interested in is the grades. So it makes sense to choose subjects that you will enjoy studying and where you feel confident of good grades. Sociology is a solid, well respected, essay-based subject. Its isnt less regarded by Unis than History, or Politics or Law or any other essay-based subject.
im doing the same a levels coincidentally. yes, these a levels are good and you will be seen as a competitive applicant.
