4 A Leveks

My school is saying that I need to quit maths, but Ireally like it and want to continue. I want to apply forhistory and French at Oxford. Currently I have 3 Astars in English lit, French, history and a C In maths.I’ve done every kind of necessary supercurricular toget in and have a very impressive PS. Should I quitmaths?
From my experience with alevels & Oxford, I wouldn’t bother with a fourth subject, especially if I wasn’t doing well in it. Oxford won’t care about unrelated alevels, and the reduction in workload from 4 to 3 subjects gives you much more breathing room in year 13. I understand that you enjoy maths, however you can learn it independently, rather than have the stress of learning it at alevel. You have three A*s to achieve dude, you don’t need extra work!!

(this is assuming the grades you named were predicted grades)

best of luck

Drop it. Oxford don’t care about whether you do 3 or 4 subjects, but being predicted a C will probably raise eyebrows. Drop it and spend more time achieving those other predictions.

If you are on a C for Maths, best to study it on your own rather than formally. You don't want that grade to affect your profile.
