Mechanical engineering equipment
Hello, I'm just about to start my 1st year doing mech eng here. I currently have a MacBook Air, and have just read the recommended computer equipment page saying that i'd be limited unless I have a windows computer.
Does anyone have an idea of how much sticking with my Mac would inconvenience me? And how convenient the CAD labs are to use?

Firstly, huge, huge congrats on getting your place at Bath! Mecheng is a very popular subject and you've obviously worked really hard to get here 🙂
I did not study mecheng, but I personally used a Windows computer for my lectures and found it a lot easier, but most of my classmates opted for apple. I think the people who can give you the most helpful advice here would be the department: [email protected], or our mecheng students on Unibuddy, who you can click here to chat do via instant messaging.
