What calculator should i get??

I'm doing mathematics A-Level and I'm really unsure of what calculator should i get. I've heard people talk about graphical calculators but they cost like £100 so i could cry.
I also am taking the sciences so should i separately get a scientific calculator for those???

no you can get a graphical calculator through your school if you ask them there is a option to lend the calculator only for 40 pounds and then give back to them when finished with a level and you can use the graphical calculators in science as well.

I think you are better off only getting a scientific calculator (for me a casio calculator is quite simple to use and very helpful), usually under roughly £50 on Amazon.

I'm also doing A level Maths this year but in Scotland so Advanced Higher maths really lmao, and a scientific calculator works well for me as well as for A level Biology and Chem last year.
Though I'm not sure if A level maths completely the same as Advanced Higher maths but just a suggestion.

Check with your teacher - you need one that can cope with the large data set .

Schools can order in bulk and save you VAT but ignore the first response as most schools won't offer this.

You must have a calculator that can deal with this part of the spec

I recommend the Casio 9991Ex, it can do distributions, calculate stats data (like means and standard deviations), quadratics, and way way more. And it's a classwiz, so it's allowed in the exams. I think I got mine for like 20 quid

i'm an A level tutor and recommend this one instead for £21...it is solar and doesn't run out of battery power like the other one and virtually the same except without the graphical plotting capability you won't have time to use int he exam...Casio fx-991CW Advanced Scientific Calculator (UK Version)
