SOAS Linguistics?

Can anyone give me any advice/their experience on the linguistics course at SOAS?? I'm looking into doing it alongside Korean but I cant find any student experiences on the course.. Ive been to an applicant day and spoke to the lecturers and I'd be interested in the translation pathway. Is there anywhere I can find more detailed information on the modules as there is not a lot of info on the SOAS website

I did a linguistics module there a couple years ago. Probably can't offer much insight though because I think they've restructured all the linguistics modules since then. The website isn't super reliable as a source of information anyway unfortunately.

I'd generally expect based on the introductory module I took and the overall scope of their research that you'd have a pretty typical introduction to the range of linguistic theory (particularly generative based theories) across the various modules covering all the key areas (phonology & phonetics, syntax, semantics & pragmatics, some morphology bits, etc).

I think they also then offer some additional options in language typology, sociolinguistics, historical linguistics and such.
