University of Southampton, understanding room number

I just got given my room number and I have no clue what it means can some one please explain it for me

So I make that Glen Eyre, J block, floor 2 (so 1st floor), room 8, flat b

Welcome to Southampton, I'm sure you'll have a great time here! As the person above said, you will be in J block, on floor 2 (which the is 1st floor since floor 1 is the ground floor), in room 8 of flat b. I would also like to add that I wouldn't worry about trying to find your flat/needing to remember your room code since at check-in, the person giving your keys will explain which flat and room is yours (and usually write it down for you if you need) and give you a sense of the direction in which to head. You can from there ask the ambassadors and workers around about where to go if you get a bit confused.
