Oxford or LSE economics

Hi there, I achieved A*AAB with A* math, A in further math and business and B in physics. I really want to do econ and management in oxford or Econ and mathematics in lse. If I apply via ucas for next year, will I have a good chance of getting offer from either uni?
Most people applying to these universities will have these grades or even higher, so you will really need to put an emphasis on your supercurriculars in order to stand out. Also oxford and LSE really care about your personal statement and you need a ‘stellar’ ps in order to be considered. So if you think than you can achieve all this then i’d say you’ll have a pretty good chance of getting in, but considering there’s very little time until the october deadline i’d say it may be better to apply in the january deadline in order to have more time to work on your application.

Oxford dont really care about the ps for E+M, LSE care about the ps for all subjects

You meet the entry requirements and will need to impress in the interviews and perform well in the TSA admissions test for Oxford as well as the TMUA for LSE. More importantly, 'recognise' that the Economics & Management degree course is the second most competitive degree in terms of the number of applicants at Oxford after Computer Science. So, it is a true lottery gaining a place at Oxford or LSE but you should have no problems gaining offers from UCL, KCL, SOAS, QMUL, City, RHUL, Durham, Warwick, Bristol, Nottingham, Manchester, Leeds, York, Bath and Edinburgh.

UCL, KCL, Warwick, Edinburgh and Durham are extremely competitive for economics. You are unlikely to get in with your current alevel results, so if you do apply make sure to have at a few safeties. The rest this person has listed you are very likely to get an offer, but obviously not guaranteed.
