Depression is very difficult to deal with, especially when you're young, but if you're still trying to make friends you're doing great. I'm assuming you're thinking of going university as you're on this site and going to university is a great way to meet new people who share the same interests as you. Every uni has lots of societies and clubs for just about every hobby and interest you can think of, made and run by fellow students.

I hated school, I didn't really have many friends but I've made some great friends from uni, college and work. In the meantime I'd recommend joining a club of some sort to meet new people in person, social media can seem like a good alternative, but not very helpful in the long-run. Best of luck.

i’m 19F just started uni and have no flat mates or friends down at uni so have been on my own for a week and struggling

I’m currently studying Business, Economics, and Maths at A-Level. I’ve always been interested in how things work, whether it’s businesses, markets, or numbers—it’s fascinating how everything connects. Outside of studying, I’m big into sports and fitness. I spend a lot of time at the gym or playing football, and I enjoy pushing myself to improve both physically and mentally.
