applying to vacation schemes with no experience

is it possible to successfully apply to vacation schemes with no work experience at all? i haven't been able to get any internships or work experience in either legal and non-legal industries and i'm going into my second year

Nothing to stop you applying, *but* vacation schemes are competitive and I'd say the vast majority of successful candidates will be applying with multiple instances of previous legal work experience on their CV. Without this you are on the back foot unless you're CV is otherwise exceptional.

Have you approached local small law firms/solicitors offices near where you live to see if you could shadow for a week? Do your parents or any of their friends work in a business with an internal legal department on site that you could shadow? That's what I'd recommend (and did) as part of my prep to gain a couple of vacation schemes, and ultimately a TC.
