iGCSE Science Double Award as an Adult

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice on studying iGCSE Double Award Science as an adult, private candidate learner.

I've not studied science since school way over 10 years ago. I tried to find an in person class to study this close to where I live but there is absolutely nothing, so I will have to 100% self study at home.

What I need help with is understanding what I'll need to study for the iGCSE Double Award Science exams.

For context I will essentially be starting from nothing.

Would the best option to buy one of the online study courses from somewhere like Distance Learning Centre for around £700+? Or is it better to purchase the CGP books and use those to study from? Or is there another option(s) available?

I just don't want to spend over £700 on something I don't really need.

Thanks!

Before doing either of the above:
1. Establish which exam board you will be using when sitting the exams. (Edexcel? Cambridge International?)
2. Download the specification for IGCSE Double Award Science from that exam boards web site.
3. Read the specification, which will tell you what you need to learn.
4. Ensure that whatever study resources you spend money on (books or an on-line course) target that exam board.
