I have applied to SFE and need to send in my eligibility evidence. Basically something from the home office verifying I live in the uk from 2021 to 2023 for any legal reason other than education. I was here but unfortunately I had to send my documents from that period to the home office. My passport is not enough to prove this.
I will be returning to university after four years. I’m extremely stressed out at this. I have reached out to the home office for help but I haven’t heard anything from them yet. I don’t know what to do and feel powerless. Any help will be appreciated.

Yeah it’s for undergraduate. I have some emails from the Home Office saying my visa application (I’m classed as ‘home’) was successful and it would last till mid June. Except it doesn’t say when it would start from. It was implied to start from when I received it. Which I can’t just send to SFE (I tried).

I called SLC but they said they will perform the home office checks after I send in my evidence.

I am trying to go onto the home office site and use the application number to see if that will be enough to bring up my records but it’s not easy. There’s no application checker for old visas there.

The student faced a similar problem as me three years back. He too had to relinquish his documents and only had photocopies. He was assured that a home office check would be performed. I presume a similar thing could be done for me?

I received my ILR back in June 2023 but it doesn’t show my residency status before that. My previous visa was given to me back in October 2021. September 2021 was on the visa before that one.

I believe it should be available in my HEAR plus my bank statements if that’s helpful in any way.

I don’t think we are going to meet the deadline anyway anymore, so the extra time is no longer an issue. Still an approximate timeline would be nice
