Should I apply for CPR prior to getting my appeal outcome from university

Hi all,

I was hoping to find out whether I can apply for CPR for student finance Prior to necessarily requiring CPR funding as I had my results letter last week and it states that i will require to repeat a few modules from my second year, and i had appealed to have a chance of basically being able to concurrently do them alongside my third year, and if my appeal is denied and i cannot do them concurrently and i will have to instead do them during my second year repeat and if this is the case i wont have funding due to already having used my gift year, though the university appeal may not be successful should i put in a CPR to cover funding prior to knowing Appeal outcome?

I already have evidence for CPR if required, also i am wondering whether i will have to make a new student finance application if i cannot go into my third year, and instead will be going repeating second year or can i use the current student finance application which is set for third year and do student finance change the application info when reregistering to university if things have changed such as the academic year. Also if my appeal isn't accepted but they give me a alternative option such as being exempt from tuition payments for those modules will i also have to change my student finance application to remove the requirement for tuition funding or will it do that automatically.

Thanks

Hi Oskar,

If you need to repeat second year you would need to change your current application to reflect this. You can change the application online by clicking on view/manage your application, change your application, and course details. If it doesn't let you do this online, it will give you the option to print off the CO1 Change of Circumstances Form to complete and upload under the evidence upload option. This link shows you how here https://youtu.be/rOMx_EG5JWk

As it can take time to process applications/evidence, it may be best to speak to uni for a timeframe when you should hear an update from them. The quicker we get the change and your CPR evidence, the quicker we can then make a decision and let you know if it was accepted or not.

Thanks,
Claire
