Human biology and biology

I want to get into biomedical science and the university I want to get into says it requires biology but I'm not a big fan of the environmental side of biology and mostly interested in the human side, so I want to study human biology
Though seeing the requirements I'm not sure if I should take human biology

On the website it said they don't count subjects with high proportion of common material separately.
I'm looking for my best bet here as I don't want to take my plans off track
You can do either or the other and it should generally be accepted. You shouldn't do both as usually they will only consider the grades from one.

That said the ecological and related aspects of biology are still applicable to biomedical concerns in terms of e.g. microbiology, epidemiology, development and/or transfer of infectious agents via animals, evolutionary factors in terms of microbial resistance etc.

So they're very relevant areas even in terms of human biomedical sciences. Whether you like it or not, humans are animals and live within the earth environment and ecosystem and affect and are affected by it.
