How to quit my apprenticeship

Hi so I started my apprenticeship on the 19th of August and i’ve realised it’s not for me. I don’t know what I thought but I have pretty crippling social anxiety and it’s the kind of job where I need to coordinate with so many people and constantly set up meetings which I genuinely can’t do. I didn’t even expect to get this job tbh but here I am and it’s not something i’m interested in. I only just started though and it’s mostly work from home, i’m so embarrassed of quitting so early when they’ve spent time/money trying to train me. What’s the least awkward way for me to quit?

I think if you will just honestly speak to your supervisor and explain why you cannot continue with the job they will understand. Just be respectful and genuine. Show your appreciation and gratitude for their time and effort given to teach you. I think it’s the best thing you can do rather than dragging something you’re not interested in.
They will find a candidate that is dreaming of the chance of taking this apprenticeship and it all will be 👍🏻

Right I get it, i’m working from home so what’s the best way to do it do you think? Would it be okay to just message my manager and ask her if we could have a meeting and tell her then? Idk if it’s like a standard job where it’s 2 weeks notice and you have to keep working for 2 weeks that would be awful. There’s a few others I worked closely with, do I need to say bye to them bc I feel so bad and embarrassed :/

you would probably have to give two weeks notice or a certain time of notice (it should say in your contract) but I would definitely speak to someone before handing in your notice officially
