Making friends yr 12
Hii! How do I make friends? I was replaced in my friend group last year and now most of thr people I know are boys and I don't want to look like a pick me being the only girl in a group of boys. Also I really want to have a friend that's a girl so we can be best buddies and do all the tings bffs fo 😞 but everyone has their friend groups already like what and I'm even an internal student..

This is going to sound really cliche, but just speak to people. I'm very socially awkward and anxious, and I force myself to get out there and talk to people. People are looking for friends more often than you think. If you know someone's newer then introduce yourself to them and chat, maybe ask if you can sit with them at lunch. Not everyone will have their friend groups, some people are better at pretending than others. Talking is the only way you'll make friends, as daunting as it seems.

You're right, but I'm so fr when I say basically all the girls have their set groups 😞 I thought those "tiers" wouldn't exist in yr 12, but obviously, they still do. 😭 I don't want to be like I'm intruding on them though

Have you got any lessons where there’s someone by themselves? If so, start talking to her! I know I seem like I’ve got my friend group, but I’ve been inviting people to sit with me and my mates. Hopefully there’s someone like that in your school. Good luck!

Hey🙂 I had a similar situation In year 12 and it is really hard lol but I agree with the previous replies! Even if others have their groups, find people who you can just have a casual chat with or say hi to in the corridor and then if you keep it up you can eventually ask to sit with them or ask for help with work, leading to a potential good friend. Also sometimes people aren’t that happy in their groups and want a new friend. Wishing you the best xx
