Hey, I'm new to tsr but I've seen some people make grow your grade blogs, and I've thought that it might help motivate me to keep on top of studying. I just started school, and am planning to update this once a week while I'm in year 12, and then possibly more as revision ramps up.
Subjects: Physics Chemistry Maths Further maths
GCSE stats: 9999999888 + A in FSMQ
Confidence level: 2

I gotta say, we got exactly the same GCSEs: 7 9s 3 8s and an A 😂

And I’m doing chemistry, maths and FM, econ and history so decently similar. Cool coincidence. Anyway, good luck with your studies!

Third week update:
Sorry these are getting later and later by the week, but here goes:
School: I've done all of my homework on time, honestly it's been pretty chill so far- although I do get quite tired with so much maths. This is a bit boring but so has the week been to be honest
Other stuff: I finished (mostly) compos maths which is great, but the physics is really difficult for me, which is an issue. Also the senior maths challenge is next week which is scary. I started a MOOC which has been pretty interesting so far, which is nice.
Overall thoughts:
yeah a bit average, not much going on really with me

I have 2 study periods a week for reference
People doing 5 at my school get 0 study periods a fortnight! Don't think anyone does though.

hello! they're going decently well, but maths just got harder in what seems like 2 seconds. how's dt? I've always wanted to do it but my school sadly doesn't offer it... good luck for them all!
4th week update:
the subjects are kinda getting harder... and I'm getting more and more homework each week. I also need to start flashcards, but I've been too busy with compos- hopefully since that's over soon I can focus more on schoolwork. I also flopped the smc, kept overthinking and so couldn't do the questions- but at least no more maths challenges this year!! we also had sixth form open evening, which was kinda surprisingly fun.
I want to also start climbing- it sounds really fun but I'm not sure whether I can find a centre nearby

I did the SMC too- also dont think i did as well as i would have liked. Have you worked out your score? Hopefully the boundaries for certificates aren’t too mean 🙂

It's going really well thank you! It's supposed to be my relaxing subject and it really is

Probably somewhere in the 60s, it sucks because last year I was in the 70s so I would have hoped to increase my score- people are saying that the boundaries are lower this year though as the most I can hope for is silver.. How about you?
