GYG YR 11 -----> hopefully getting the grades i want!!

hii! im currently going into yr 11 this september and i wanted to make a GYG to see if i could change my grade or at least be motivated to change my grade. hopefully i do!! i'm definitely not excited for yr 11 this year, seeing my timetable and classes that i'm in, it's defo not looking like a good year LOL. i also feel scared to go into yr 11 and i do regret wasting my summer by not doing much. i'll be very very honest, i have done some revision such as computing, i finished revising one whole component and studied a bit of an inspecter calls. i'll admit i have been unfocused though and that's the problem!!

when i get back, my gsce results hopefully turns out well since im aiming to get around 6-9s or all 9s but im not that confident that i'll even end up with a 9! i'm not a very fast learner and im pretty forgetful as soon as there is a exam paper right in front of me.

i really really want to get amazing grades as i want to do computer science in the future! but let's just say i'm not there yet.. especially with my computer science grades. i'll show you my results in a bit but if anyone is also going into yr 11 and gets way better grades than me then please help me out!! i really need it and i do regret failing my yr 10 mocks so badly... so please help me out with any advice on how to revise and focus!!! im also aiming to do higher for science and maths!!

my yr 10 mock results --->

biology (AQA) - 5
chemistry (AQA) - 5
computing (OCR) - 3 (my teacher INCREASED the grade boundaries)
english literature (AQA) - 4 (forgot the QUOTES for macbeth and my class never got taught how to do comparison paragraphs or that surprise extract thingie)
french (AQA) - 4 (i didn't write much for 40 mark questions)
geography (eduqas B) - 2 (i thought i did SOOO well but i guess i didn't)
maths (edexcel) - 2 (edexcel is the worst exam board omg)
physics (AQA) - 3 (i was 1 mark away from a 4)
RE (AQA) - 3 (i didn't revise much for re)

(ps: i did foundation for biology, chemistry, physics, french and maths)

as you can tell, i didn't do as good in my mocks and have no idea on how i will get my academic comeback for yr 11 mocks which i think is in december or january so please please please help me out. it's kind of embarrassing when i got my mock results back cause all my friends got way higher than me which makes me think im rlly dumb.

ill be really honest, i was completely lost when it came to my yr 10 mocks. i had no idea on how to revise or what resources i should use. im also a person who forgets everything as soon as i enter the exam hall.

i really want to get good grades like my friends so i wouldn't have to embarrassed about telling my friends about my grades.

so please please PLEASE!!! im begging you if anyone has any advice or anything honestly idc what it is you can say it cause who knows it might make a difference!!!!

i REALLY REALLY need to get so good im not even joking.. please anyone help me out i need this so badly to a point i'm literally crying for help. i really want to make my parents proud and i need my yr 11 mocks to be soo good like 6-9s

if you read this all, tysm for reading through it and for leaving any other advice!! this will be a blog and i'll update you guys throughout my academic year on here on how much revision i did everyday and if i need help w something else

stay tuned till august 2025 when i find out what i get for my gsces and follow my journey in what i've been wanting for so long and i finally ended up getting the grades i wanted!!

I'm in year 12 now, but I used the website 'physics and maths tutor' loads to make mind maps for science as they have the topics for each paper clearly listed with a range of revision resources for each, if you're looking for more revision methods.

It also helped me to look through the topics and write down any parts I knew would need extra revision on, as the specific areas are listed (eg: the nervous system). Then, when I wanted to revise Chem paper 2, I could pick a topic and do everything i didn't know within that topic as I had a list. It also helped with not missing any content from revision or when I only wanted to do 10 minutes worth.
Sorry if that was worded confusingly but check out the physics and maths tutor website and you'll see what I mean. They have loads of great english stuff too!

does anyone have advice on how to get a grade 5 and above because on my last paper language paper i only got a 4 and it was like a low 4 if you get what i mean. i mostly do need help with creative writing and other question such as question 3 and 4.

For creative writing question 5, the question is normally dependant like it relates in a way on the text so try to mimic certain words and phrases in your answer and maybe even the style so it looks deliberate but not like your copying yk

And before you start plan your answer so it's like are you gonna zoom in zoom out or stand in the middle and zoom out, kind of like a camera but let the picture in the lens be the focus of your text. You can draw this using different shames just as a visual is it helps

Like if u did and hourglass ⌛️

You'd zoom out, zoom in then zoom out again.
