New A-level student

Hi! I have started college this week and I’m studying English Lit/lang, R.E and Law. I came home today and just felt really overwhelmed with the content already and feel as though I’m not capable. Does anybody have any advice or have any of you studied these A-levels?

My exam board is WJEC. Sorry! I should have been more specific. Good luck in English lit/lang though! I hope you do great 😊 x

a lot of people feel overwhelmed at first, especially since the teaching style and expectations of what you do can differ quite a lot from gcse!

my best advice would be to create a strong timetable so you know when you're going over what. that might be x time is to go over english notes and finish annotations, or y time to complete any law homework you've been set.

alevels can pick up quite swiftly if you're not careful, so do try and keep on top of things as best as you can! they're quite fun that way since it's three subjects you've chosen just in greater detail than gcse.

if you're still struggling, though, do reach out to someone about it! your school/college should have a dedicated team to help with anything.

best of luck with your alevels!
