A level resources- need advice!!

Ive just started year 12 and I wanted to find some good revision resources for each of my subjects and would be so grateful if anyone would be willing to share. I'd also appreciate any info on how you revised.

I'm doing:
Biology (OCR A)
Chemistry (OCR A)
RS (OCR)

Thank you!
Chemistry id say chemrevise is really good alongside pmt and doing lots of questions and self assessments.

Biology: Try savemyexams and PMT, start topic question assessments and Papers early.
If there’s a topic you are unsure about dont leave it for later, take care of it as soon as possible

I cannot speak on RS I didn’t do it but hope that helps

Same applies for all your subjects

I’m doing RS OCR right now in Year 13 and there is a great website called literally A Level Philosophy & Religious Studies. It’s a previous A level student’s notes which they’ve typed up for each topic for each of the three segments of the course. Also, you can choose the summarised notes depending on the grade you’re wanting to achieve. Hope that helps

Thank you so much guys
For chemistry, OCR A has perhaps the widest range of resources out of all the major UK exam boards. I have attached the resources that in my experience were the most beneficial to my OCR A students back when I used to do free mentoring.

Physics and Maths Tutor is the most versatile resource. You can find past papers, questions sorted by topic, simplified notes and some pre-made flashcards. This makes it incredibly useful for the active recall methods required to memorise the content effectively.

MaChemGuy and Mr Murray-Green Chemistry tutorials are often the best resources to cover the content quickly and to get advice from (experienced) teachers on how to improve one’s exam technique. Mr Murray-Green’s channel is especially helpful in this regard as many of the videos visible on his channel immediately upon opening it discuss his advice for effective study and how to improve your answers to exam questions.

As for video solutions to full past papers, my advice would be to give Davies A level chemistry a look. Whilst they are an AQA channel, they have walkthroughs for some OCR past papers (for now, you would be better off using the AS papers in your revision and leaving the year 13 papers for next year)

I hope sixth form / college proves to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Good luck and hopefully the above resources are of use.

What for Biology OCR A? Thanks

What for Biology OCR A? Thanks

Honestly no idea - I never took it or mentored it.

PMT (attached in my post above) is likely useful for the same reasons I outlined and there are likely dozens of other resources out there.

Edit: with a few quick google searches, I found the following. I cannot vouch for the quality of any of these resources as I never used them:

For those of you wondering what my A levels were (in case you did want recommendations for any of them whilst I still use TSR), they were as follows:

A level chemistry (Edexcel)
A level maths (Edexcel)
A level physics (OCR specification B)
A level further maths (Edexcel)
AS level biology (Edexcel specification B)
AEA mathematics (Edexcel)
