Hello everyone! This is a bit about me:

1) A Levels: Computer Science, Psychology, Mathematics, Further Mathematics + CyberEPQ & A2/B1 DELE Spanish Qualification. I'm applying for Undergraduate.

2) I dont really know right now for final choices. Still not sure to be honest, I'm having a bit of an existential crisis about the worth of degrees, how 2.1 and firsts aren't seen the same as before, and the meaning of life 😅

3) GCSEs: 9999999998A
A Levels: x4s A*s (predicted) + A* in CyberEPQ (achieved) & Spanish grade (A2)

4) Why Computer Science specifically? - I've had a thing for the subject since Y7 but it never really clicked how much I enjoyed it until I got to Y9/Y10. I always like to think how the different bits of theory are combined together when I'm using a smart device or computer system.
My options are/were:
Computer Science and Philosophy - Oxford (rejection) & UCL (offer)
Computer Science specialising in Cybersecurity - Lancaster (offer), Southampton (offer) & Imperial

5) I sat MAT for Oxford & TMUA for Imperial

6) I attended Open Days for Oxford and Southampton; hoping to see the rest of my uni choices at some point because I am unsure right now

7) Kinda nervous but also excited as well about the different possibilities and meeting new people as well

Does anyone know what UCL is like in terms of the Computer Science and Philosophy departments? It seems alright, minus the slight efficiency and time management issues

Hello,

Lancaster is still in clearing with Computer Science places at https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/study/clearing/
If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer as a Computer Science student who came here via clearing last year!
I am having a good time so far and would recommend the course and our great computer labs.

Hope I can help,
